HOW TO PRAY WITH THE ROSARY?

Start from the cross (1)
Direction: anticlockwise
Repeat the following prayers silently in your mind:
Cross 1: Blessing
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Simultaneously bless yourself with the sign of the cross.
Bead 2: Confession of sins
Confess your sins silently in your mind. Ask for forgiveness and your sins will be forgiven to you.
Bead 3: Jesus’ prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
Bead 4: Lord’s prayer
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.
Bead series 1-4: Meditative prayers
(Meditate over the meaning of the following prayer. What could it mean to you today?)
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Make Your face to shine upon me.
IC 1-3: Intercessory prayers
The three special beads in the circle are dedicated for intercessory prayers, i.e. you pray for someone who needs special care and blessing from God. With intercessory prayers we lift our eyes towards other people and cultivate our compassion towards the whole creation.
Return, bead 4: Singing Sanctus
Holy, holy, holy Lord Sabaoth!
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest!

grant us peace.
